The Shenandoah School Board has officially approved the hiring of Scott Widner as the new head football coach of the Shenandoah Raiders football program.

Widner returns to Shenandoah with a distinguished coaching résumé and a deep connection to the Raiders. Over 11 seasons as a head coach, he has compiled an impressive overall record of 83-41, including 81-23 during his previous nine seasons at Shenandoah. Widner’s teams brought home sectional championships in 2012 and 2014, reflecting his ability to build and sustain competitive squads.

In addition to his strong record and championship success, Widner is the winningest football coach in Shenandoah history, a testament to his leadership, consistency, and impact on the program.

To welcome the community and give players, parents, and fans an opportunity to meet Coach Widner, Shenandoah High School will host a “Meet the Coach Night” on Wednesday at 7:00 PM in the Middle Team Teaching Room. All are encouraged to attend, learn more about Coach Widner’s vision for the program, and show support for the upcoming season.

The Shenandoah community looks forward to an exciting new chapter in Raider football under Coach Widner’s leadership.
